EVOLUTION OF SURFACE SHAPE OF LANDSLIDE-GENERATED WAVE FOR DIFFERENT TIME MOMENTS
Above the leading front of the landslide, the elevation wave is generated, and above the landslide “tail”, the depression wave appears and the rundown wave is formed for a slope at which the landslide occured. Behind the depression a second wave crest begins to appear.

| Note: in this one-dimensional figure a more detailed evolution of a wave can be seen. Above the leading front of the landslide the elevation wave is generated, and above the landslide “tail” the depression wave appears which forms the rundown wave for a slope at which the landslide occurs up to the time moment t = 15 sec. Then, at back wave front a crest begins to appear. |
